Payment & Refund Policy

How payment works on Finn Tang's Reading Studio, and our refund position. Australian Consumer Law sets the floor — your statutory rights are not waived by anything on this page.

What you can buy

  • Free Basic reading — 1 per email address, lifetime, no payment required
  • Credit packs — purchase credits and use them to compose Detailed readings:
    • Starter pack: A$20 = 20 credits
    • Mid pack: A$50 = 50 credits
    • Best-value pack: A$100 = 100 credits (plus bonus — see Pricing)
  • A Detailed reading consumes 30 credits at the time of composition.
  • The Pricing page is authoritative on current pack contents and prices.

How you pay

  • Payment is processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • We never see or store your card details
  • Supported methods: major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay (subject to your region)
  • Currency: A$ (Australian Dollars)

When credits are spent

Credits leave your balance only at the moment a Detailed reading is composed. If the engine fails to compose your reading for technical reasons, the 30 credits are automatically returned to your balance — you do not need to ask. Credits do not expire while your account is open.

Refunds for unused credits

  • Within 14 days of purchase you may request a full refund of any unused credit balance, less Stripe processing fees
  • After 14 days unused credits remain in your account but are no longer refundable as cash — they can still be used to compose Detailed readings
  • Used credits (Detailed readings already composed and delivered) are non-refundable, as the digital content has been delivered

Refunds for failed or defective readings

  • If a Detailed reading fails to compose (engine error, timeout, system issue), the 30 credits are automatically returned to your balance
  • If a Detailed reading is delivered but materially defective (e.g. obviously wrong chart, scrambled output), please flag it via the feedback widget on the reading page or by email
  • On confirmation that the reading is defective we will offer either (a) a free recompose, or (b) a 30-credit refund to your balance

Australian Consumer Law

This policy operates within the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You retain non-excludable consumer guarantees, including the right to a refund for services that are not delivered with due care and skill, or that are not fit for purpose. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights. For ACL guidance, see the ACCC website.

Chargebacks & disputes

If you dispute a charge with your card issuer (chargeback) before contacting us, we may need to suspend your account while the dispute is resolved. Please email us first — most payment issues can be resolved without involving the card network.

GST & tax

Prices on the site are inclusive of GST where applicable (Goldman Global Financial Pty Ltd is GST-registered in Australia). For customers outside Australia, GST may not apply — Stripe handles tax calculation at checkout. We can provide a tax invoice on request.

How to request a refund

  • Email cto@goldmanglobal.com.au with your account email and the purchase reference (date and amount)
  • We aim to respond within 3 business days
  • Approved refunds are processed via Stripe back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the effective date at the top changes when we do. Credit packs purchased before a change are honoured under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
